I found my steel nibs, but not the good ones… That didn’t stop me from trying this old manga trick for filling out backgrounds.

There’s half a page missing where Falco climbs down the wall and falls into a rose bush, but maybe I’ll save that for the “director’s cut”. I just want to finish this chapter now, and there’ll be more Falco very soon anyway. (Can there be too much?!)

Goldie is singing a Yiddish song in her own dialect. It is inspired by two folk songs about golden birds written down in the very beginning of the 20th century. These songs remind me very much of the songs traditionally sung by the bride in Karelia, who lamented having to leave her childhood home and join the family of her husband far away.
