A spell to break another.
This page took a couple of extra hours, because Photoshop and Intuos in an unholy alliance suddenly forgot how to do pressure sensitivity. I guess new drivers and some reboots finally did the trick, but this gave me the chance to try out Clip Studio Paint (a k a Manga Studio). What a difference! For some reason it feels much more user-friendly, even though the interface is initially very cluttery – but that’s the way I like it, baby… (ought to invest in a bigger screen, though.) Anyway, for Goldenbird I only need to do touch-ups digitally, so there is no urgent need for high-end tools. But digital painting is fun.
I controlled myself on the last page, but now I really must ask: Where is Mochi??!!!! Q____Q
… It’s a rhetorical question, I know (hope!) it will be revealed in time. I just couldn’t contain myself. :3
Also, I have to say it’s nice to have a full page. Maybe it’s something about the pacing, because obviously you draw the half-pages as full pages, too, so it feels highly dissatisfying to get just half of them at a time … :3
NO! MOCHI IS THERE!!! HOW COULD I MISS HER
I was already fantasising that Mochi would pounce on the evil American person and stop him from whatever bad thing he was going to do … :3 But then that would really be a bit too unrealistic.
I can see Mochi doing a Matrix X Zetsu Tenrō Battōga attack through the air… Her time will come. Yes.
