Cellelager
I hope the gradients convey the “geometric horror” of this First World War POW camp situated near Celle, Lower Saxony.
Originally Falco was supposed to have been just a regular soldier, but once I started to read up on the Royal Italian Army and particularly the hundreds of thousands of prisoners of war ending up practically abandoned by their own state in Central Power camps, I decided to promote him to aspirante ufficiale. Thus, he had a “chance” to end up in Celle, where mainly officers were interned.
