Another glimpse of Falco’s backstory (20 years in the making; there is much, much more that won’t fit into this comic…).

Long after I came up with this storyline, I discovered that Eugenio Pacelli, the future Pope Pius XII, had visited the Celle POW camp as a papal nuncio to Bavaria, looking eerily like this character in photos from that occasion. Just to make things clear: This priest is someone completely different (explaining the hostile reactions of the other prisoners). Thanks, history, for making my fiction much more complicated!
