All the Dux’s men are old enough to have served in the war that only ended two years earlier, so the problem is not that Falco is an ex-soldier. The Dux opposes both the Italian and the Yugoslav governments, but he is an Italian patriot by heart, as are his men. However, he wants to trap Falco in a very specific way, and it is directly related to the dramatic shifts in Italy’s military fortunes in the Great War… All will be revealed, hopefully not too didactically, but still understandably enough!
