Goldenbird

I mentioned before that this spin-off comic is inspired by H. P. Lovecraft’s grave-robber story “The Hound” and Black Panther the movie. Other sources of inspiration are the Belgian classic comic albums L’Oreille cassée (Tintin and the Broken Ear) and Blake & Mortimer: The Mystery of the Great Pyramid (but also the rather prosaic Necklace Affair where they are just driving around Paris). Add some melancholy Jacques Tardi-esque milieus, et voilà …
